Tim Bonham's truthful statement:

"To argue that MCDA is just the City Council in another name (same 13
people on the board), you will have to have the money and lawyers to
fight the city in Court."

Vicky adds:

A handful of people with enough money have taken the City to Court --
and they won! There was the Kondirator suit, then the Nicollet Mall
suit, and a few others including my own. In my lawsuit, the lawyers
for the MCDA (Kennedy & Graven) filed a brief with the Court of
Appeals, indicating that ours was the highest fee ever awarded in
Minnesota as a sanction for filing and litigating claims that had no
merit. I've been in Court fighting the MCDA for nine years, and
finally prevailed, just one month ago.

It was this experience that caused me to conclude that I was dealing
with two-bit crooks who have unlimited access to the public treasury.
So, when I criticize the MCDA, I am biased. On the other hand, I can
prove what I say: I have the documents.

I would like to think that the victories in Court will restore
everyone's property rights, but I'm not optimistic. Nothing will
change unless the citizens, voters, and taxpayers wise up. Maybe
someday, investigative journalism will resurface.

Until then, remember: In the deep bowels of government, plungers come
in many forms.
