As someone who has been guilty on more than one occasion of letting my posts
get too personal I found this little blurb on the e-democracy site a few
weeks ago about Mpls issues that wasn't in "the rules";

This forum is about open exchange and information sharing and not about
being right with one's ideology. Attempts to "win" an online discussion are
discouraged.

This is my new golden rule on future posts to the list, if I'm trying to
win, I'm probably getting too personal and polluting the old public debate
wading pool. (Insert Park Board joke here) Again, I've been more than
guilty of crossing swords from time to time and this little passage has
helped me think about "the list" a little differently.

I'm done apple polishing for today, stay warm out there!
