I see no correlation between success or compensation in the private sector and success in the public sector. I also don't understand why people are so ready to pay a public servant extravagant sums when there are a variety of other public servants in high profile positions that are in the game for much more than the compensation package. I believe I read that the Governor makes $120k... ? That his commissioners make around $100k... ? Is a public school superintendent that much more qualified than a Governor?
