Saturday, November 1 is Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The Midtown
Greenway Coalition is proud to join other community groups in celebrating this
important Latino holiday!

Local multimedia artists Patricia Mendoza and Constanza Carballo invite
community members of all ages to beautify and enhance the Midtown Greenway with a
memorial procession and commemorative mural unveiling in observance of Dia de
los Muertos. Altars will line the edge of the Greenway honoring the lives of
departed friends and family members. People are encouraged to bring photos or
decorations in remembrance of any loved ones who have passed away. There
will also be an informal gathering in the Intermedia Arts parking lot with live
music, Day of the Dead bread and hot drinks. In observance of Day of the Dead,
the artists ask everyone to wish for an end to senseless violence occurring
not only against women in Ciudad Juarez, but towards all people across the
world. Please join us at the parking of Old Arizona Studios, 2821 Nicollet Avenue
South at 4:00 p.m. to begin this celebration.
