2. SABBATICAL AWARDS FOR ACTIVISTS OF COLOR

The Alston/Bannerman Fellowship Program of Baltimore, Maryland
provides sabbatical awards to long-time activists of color working for
racial, social, economic and environmental justice. Ten awards of
$15,000 are given annually to organizers to take sabbaticals of several
months or more. The sabbaticals may be used to explore new interests,
travel, relax, visit with other activists, or do whatever the Fellows think is
necessary to prepare for their future work. See the web site above for
