Wizard Marks noted in her post the potential motion to dismiss Smith Parker as the coordinator of the Lake Street process. From what I've heard from people at the meeting, PAC chair Paula Gilbertson wouldn't accept that on the agenda apparently because the meeting would go beyond the agenda time if it were added. I checked the STRIDE website, and the motion is there, here is the link for those who are interested: http://www.stride-mn.org/about-smithparker/motion_to_dismiss.pdf
The motion makes some good points. Wizard claimed that the motion was an indication that Ken Avidor was only at the meeting to "clown", but I disagree. I think several points in the motion, such as lack of competitive bidding, really need to be investigated. Wizard made her assertion based on the fact that PAC didn't hire Smith Parker, the county did; well, that is true, but PAC stands for Public Advisory Committee, and their job is to make recommendations about the process and the project, so moving to dismiss the coordinators isn't as out of bounds as it may seem.
