It will be hard to get accurate data on this, but I think Jeanne has
hit on one of the reasons MPS is losing students to, at least, suburban
schools. It is unlikely that sports will be reported by parents as the
only reason for moving to the burbs, but I know from anecdotal evidence
from friends and acquaintances that it is certainly one of the important
ones.
