Amen to some clarification here.
I've been watching these posts on "affordable housing" and my head hurts from the
overload of information given and the lack of clarity in what it all means.

What is "affordable housing"? Do we need multiple definitions or classifications?

What are the numbers of "affordable housing" built/rehabbed this year?
Are these beds, apartments, houses, condos?

We may not all agree on the definitions for these, but some clarification would be
greatly appreciated by me, and probably others on here.

I also have another question for those on here who have good real examples. What
projects/programs etc. have proved to actually accomplish the goals they were meant to
accomplish? How so and why? Which projects/programs have failed? How so and why?

A few more questions in case anyone has read this far.
Who's idea was it to count a few city/county dollars spent on a shelter bed as being
"affordable housing" anyway?
What about all the people falling through the cracks between programs/projects?
Why rentals?
Why not rent stamps or some such thing?
Why are we spending so much tax dollars on this issue and getting so few actual good
results?
Could we not approach this problem with more of a how do we eliminate this problem
rather than sustain it ad infinitum?
Why can we afford things like a new stadium, block E, downtown target, etc. when we
have so many people homeless and in need of basic life elements?

Oh, enough for now. My head hurts from the frustration of this problem.
