A quick visit to the City of Minneapolis web site shows that both Ron and Steve's concerns have already been addressed:
http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/news/20031210sidewalks01.asp People who cannot shovel their own walks should call 673-3004 to get connected with volunteers because not shoveling the walk runs the risk of having it done by city crews and being billed for it. Reportedly, this process gets started by someone calling the city and finking on their slacker neighbors. However, I did not see the number that people should use for that. Perhaps one of the city communications specialists who monitor this list can enlighten us.
