Mark Snyder says...Mark - I hate to disillusion you but my guess is the 100+ guests will mostly know each other or certainly of each other. Eclectic crowd or not , the folks who can afford the $100 are also not going just to support RT but to see Sam and Sylvia's place and be in with the in crowd.
Even though I'll likely support RT if he runs again, I'd rather spend New
Year's Eve with my friends and family than at a dinner party with a bunch of
people whom I mostly won't know.
And don't forget that after the fundraiser there are fireworks both at 8:30 and midnight on the River and with all the other parties in town my guess is some of them will still be together at 2 or 3 in the morning. And if your family wants ot have family fun at the Nicollet Island Pavillion family activities will be from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Thanks to Walt Dziedzic and PB staff they have raised funds and sponsors and put together an evening of fun. So some can just stand across the river and wave to the Kaplan's place.
