Wouldn't people's advocacy be better placed in
lobbying their local churches to open their doors or
at least community rooms to the homeless rather than
advocating to get bars removed so people can sleep
under bridges?

There is a stretch of boulevard that borders Mary's
place over by the Farmer's Market. Could a long string
of army tents be strung along the boulevard with some
smudge pots? Many of the homeless that are turned away
from shelters hang there anyway. At least that's what
I have seen. My husband has a warehouse back there so
I drive by it relatively often. I always see people
hanging along that blvd. and other places around that
area.

This seems way more humane than letting them sleep
under bridges.
