The Mayor has stated he holds to his promise to not take money from those doing business with the city but how are we to know if the names of donors are not released because they slip through the $100 loophole.
Am I the only person on this list who remembers the Mayor awarded a consulting contract to a campaign contributor barely a month into his present term? The Mayor promised to return that donation but did he? Even if he did so would is that sufficient? I agree wholeheartedly with the Hamline professor quoted by Rochelle Olson in her Strib report on the Mayor's fundraiser. This Mayor adds to the cynicism felt by so many of us. I have fewer qualms about politicians accepting contributions from those doing business with the city than I do with those who lie and sneak and then do it anyway. Our Mayor has real chutzpah and I don't mean that to be a compliment. Tim Connolly Downtown __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo!
