Doug Grow wrote a little piece on R.T.'s change of
heart: http://www.startribune.com/stories/465/4278636.html

"That Rybak is so outraged over the story of his fundraising
gala shows he's like many other so-called reformers. He's quick
to see the faults in others, but he's got real thin skin."

What I find interesting is that R.T. is so shocked that
we would expect him to keep his promises. It seems as
though he expects us to give him the same slack that we do
other politicians. The problem is that when you run on the
higher ground you shouldn't be surprised when people expect
you to maintain it. Rybak's reaction reminds me of the same
type of moral ambivalence as Clinton's national confession,
"I can only tell you I was motivated by many factors. First,
by a desire to protect myself from the embarrassment of my
own conduct."
