   I will look up your messages and Jim Graham's
messages in the Archives.

   No one has disputed my argument that people who
want to build a movement against police brutality
would be better off with a white male outsider. 
 
  Appointing an African-American chief would have the
effect of weakening the anti-police brutality movement
because an African-American chief would be much harder
to criticize.

   I belive the Mayor's goal are to:

   1. To work on solving the problem of police
brutality and racial profiling.

   2. To put the issue to rest.

   I believe that the McManus appointment is likely to
have the opposite effect of what the Mayor intends.

   I believe that police brutality and racial
profiling are real problems. I also belive that police
brutality is a Pandora's box of an issue and that
opening it up makes the city less safe, not more safe.

   I remember the early 90's and I don't want to go
back to those days!

   I do get carried away sometimes.
