A whole bunch of people showed up to the Park Board Annual meeting to make an
impassioned plea to stop the backroom deal, insider decision making process.
The Park Board really had a chance to get back on track and restore some
modicum of the public trust.
The crowd was hoping that John Erwin would be selected as president, a small
sign that there was some hope for this dysfunctional board.
It didn't happen. The backroomers selected Jon Olson who gave one the worst
speeches I have ever heard.
I spoke with him after the meeting. He said I should give him a chance and in
two months things will be great.

Things are actually worse than they were before. There was no remorse, no
accountability, and no vision of what it will take to get the public to trust
them. There was no sense that their integrity was ever at issue.

They just don't get it.

Then there is the double speak of interim.

I wish I could say something positive happened at the meeting.
But I couldn't even get thrown out.

Thanks,
Scott Vreeland Seward
