Understanding the - gasp - root causes of crime is not the job of the police.
The police, as part of the executive branch of government, enforces the laws
passed by the legislative councils. I have not known the job description of a
police officer to include "genuine compassion". The cops are here to enforce
the law, arrest suspects and criminals, and investigate crimes.

1. Cops are not "armed to the teeth". They carry a semi-auto handgun. Add an MP-5 and a couple of stun grenades - now you're talkin'. 2. They are not "licensed to kill". They are empowered to use deadly physical force in situations that civilians cannot. 3. You obviously don't like cops.

Prima facie absurdity.

There is no separation of church and state mentioned in the First Amendment
to the U.S. Constitution. There are, however, two important concepts contained
therein that concern religion:
1. Prohibition against establishment of a state religion; and, 2. The guarantee of the free exercise of religion.

Did the parents look into the organization beforehand? Was there any misrepresentation on the part of Urban Ventures?

Like Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, who provides abortions:
