Good Morning List!

I would like to say that picking McManus as new Chief of Police was a great selection. Personally, I would have liked to have seen someone from within the ranks to be selected for our Chief, but that did not happen and rightfully so. Now that we have a new Police Chief, I am hopeful that some things will be addressed, and I am hopeful that his hands are not tied behind his back. Let's just say I am very hopeful that things and issues would be addressed and not put into back burners. But, I am also realistic that anything good takes time.

Now that "fresh air" has blown into City Hall, let the winds of change also allow regular folks to be regular participants in issues and committees that affect the their respected neighborhoods. It gets really old when the same ole', same ole' folks regularly speak up and decide for those who know better than anyone about what is happening in their communities.

In other words, political agenda's, machines and "good ole boy' network's are and should be a thing of the past, inclusion should be the thing of the here and now, and it seems that this is just what this Chief has a track record in.

Having said all that, I welcome our new Chief "fresh air", to City hall, and may he have a productive tenure while here in our great City of Lakes....
