YOU ARE INVITED TO HELP US REMEMBER OUR HISTORY and SAVE OUR STORIES
In Seward, the street car lines crossed at 27th Avenue S. and 25th Street.
People could easily walk to get most of the things they needed in life. Do you
recall a time when every block had stores like Rippetoe's Sweet Shop, Connor's
Meat Market, The Sugar Bowl? When the Metro Theater, or bars likeDu Nord's or
Mel's Saloon-Home of the Monkey Pie Face Club provided entertainment? Want
to learn more?
People who lived and worked in some of these businesses will be
gathering to share what they remember. They will bring maps, old photographs, and
many wonderful recollections.
Please join us on Friday, January 30th - 7 P.M.
