There is a fundamental philosophical difference between traditional American political values and this directive. Although, the danger is subtle it is quite insidious and I believe that it is unwise to orient secondary instructional programs in Minneapolis around this belief. Here's a critical thinking assignment. What's wrong with the last sentence in this mission statement? Perhaps Mr. Lacy can identify the issue I am referring to given that he believes that the International Baccalaureate has provided him "...with the tools and skills necessary to critical analyze information presented to me as "truth" and "fact..." Mr. O'Neal might also pose the same question to his daughter. Other list members might have fun testing their own critical thinking skills.
