This refers to A Doug Grow Strib column last week. Sorry for the delay
in posting.
I was pleased to see city council member Dean Zimmerman adopting a
healthy and environmentally friendly life style by bicycling to work. I
would hope that he bikes with due accord for all rules of the road that
apply to cyclists, although I do remember that when he found out that he
was disobeying the Minneapolis bike registration ordinance, his approach
(against the advice of city bike experts) was to repeal it. I am
disappointed to see that he has so little self esteem that he does not
believe that his brains are worth the $25 or so it would cost to buy a
helmet to protect them.
