Overall, the sevice is good. I live on a line where busses run about every 7-8 minutes so missing one isn't usually a big deal, though I must admit cursing when I saw one driving away as I approached my stop earlier this week. On cold or snowy days the schedule becomes pretty much meaningless. In addition to the weather that also means a great deal more students grab my bus to the U on those days and I have to stand until we pass the U Campus.
I'd prefer a much better public transit system, though. I recently saw a map of the old street car system. Sigh.
