It's kind of weird to want to be associated with a site that posts material like this (see below Doug's signature), regardless of what you think of the 'highlighted' candidates.

Cleaning Day: Nov 5, 2002! 2002 Minneapolis School Board Election Polls Open Tuesday, November 5, 2002 7am-8pm Scumbag List We Recommend NOT Voting for these People COLLEEN MORIARTY is denounced because she is a liar and a crook. More specifically, as chief of staff for former Mayor Belton, she helped orchestrate millions of dollars in corporate subsidies, including those that left a golden parachute to Rebecca Yanisch, who profiteered from promoting Ryan Construction Projects and then used the revolving door to get a lucrative job at Ryan. It is also quite likely that both Belton and Moriarty knew about the Brian Herron and Joe Biernat crimes before the general public did. WE CANNOT LET A PERSON LIKE THIS GRAB MORE POWER. The Belton regime destroyed the city, and our schools face enough challenges as it is, so PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS SCOUNDREL! AUDREY JOHNSON is denounced because she has done nothing to limit spending and refuses to fire more administrators. Also, Johnson is arrogant enough to say that we need more incumbents (and career politicians). Johnson has had her four years on the board, now let's allow her to torture people in the private sector, where she has the opportunity to be fired more often than once every four years! JUDY FARMER is denounced because she has repeatedly supported stupid things like the Profile of Learning, bigger government, more wasteful administrators, and higher taxes with less results. She has also been on the board since 1980--her reign must END! Almost Endorsed DOUG MANN has lots of interesting ideas about education, and has fought hard against the system many times for better schools and helped the NAACP fight for better conditions in poor schools. He appears to have fiscal discipline, too. While Vinny's Education Coalition is not endorsing anyone in the race, Mann came closest to recieving our endorsement. We encourage you to vote for Mann...he is a much better choice than any of the incumbents, hands down! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
