One of the reasons that small (and tiny) schools work is that these schools are more likely than the very big ones to provide instruction based on a college-bound curriculum, with an emphasis on student-centered learning activities and individualized educational planning. The kind of multitiered educational system that the MPS administration has been promoting is more cost effective in larger schools.
