Walking the dog last night, I just about killed myself on a neighbor's unshoveled sidewalk. Unshoveled--and how! It's a corner lot and I don't think they'd touched it all winter. The ice was easily 3 inches thick. Anyway, I went to the city's website snow- information page, where one can get a number to report such unfriendly neighbors and (hopefully) get the problem fixed. Upon dialing the number, a voicemail message told me the mailbox was full; on pressing the directed # sign, another voice suggested I try again some other time.
So I'm thinking, ok, should I call back, say, in July? Anyway, I know the city's budget is short, I'm a librarian for God's sake. And I know I could just contact this neighbor directly. But if the city has a process in place to take care of such a situation, shouldn't a citizen and taxpayer be able to use it? Jeff Radford Kingfield __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
