This brings to mind the image of Commissioner Fine and President Olson bounding out of
a recent
MPRB meeting, ostensibly to congratulate the departing Skipperliner entourage as they
departed.
Other Commissioners were continuing to do the business of the parks while the two
exited through
the back door to share hearty slaps on the back. They returned several minutes later.
 I'm sure
that the Skipperliner folks are indebted to several members of the MPRB and will do
everything
they can to support their re-election bids in the future.

Don't think that President Olson doesn't have relationships with other DQ owners.
Don't think
that there is not political capital to be gained by this decision.

I'm not rushing to judgement and don't think Chris is, either. In an atmosphere of
distrust, an
MPRB leader that was putting his community first would be attempting to ensure that
business is
conducted in a transparent manner with at least an attempt to avoid perceived conflict
of
interest.
