Mayor Rybak:

I hope that you have at least a DUAL TRACK approach
to meeting with people from the African American Community.
One, of course, is meeting directly with individuals who
request meetings with you. Secondly, and most importantly,
is meeting individuals through city council members like
Natalie Johnson Lee and Don Samuels, which covers the
northside of Minneapolis. I'm quite sure they are willing
to help you identify new and different voices within the
African-American Community. That is, talking to the same
old people is going to get you the same old results. Thank you.

Bethel said that he, Moss, the Rev. Jerry McAfee and
MAD DADS president V.J. Smith had attended a two-hour
meeting with Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak earlier Tuesday.
The meeting was planned before the shootings, but it gave
them an opportunity to talk about them.
