I'm not sure how much impact the strike-related free parking in the city owned ramps wil have on revenue because it's only for those with at least five people in the vehicle. Kind of hard to reach for most.
On the other hand, maybe some will emulate the "Slug Lines" seen in Washington, D.C., where people stop at certain spots in park and rides and downtown streets to pick up riders so as to get to use the HOV lanes. Also known as casual car-pooling in some cities. There is even a Slug Lines web site. I wonder whether people will be able to use the MT park and ride lots to do some car pooling during the strike...
