I have seen more efforts backed with action by Chief McManus then has taken
place for years with our previous police chiefs..including Tony B.
The man is reaching out. He met with Mental Health Advocates from the
Barbara Schneider Foundation, he has welcomed activists such as Spike Moss and
other community leaders to work with him.
He rights a terrible wrong in doing the decent thing with Duy N. by
visiting the man and setting straight false rumors.
And he followed the usual procedure of putting people on leave with pay
during an investigation.
And the previous police union in Dayton doesn't like him (I take that as
a positive.)
