Chris Johnson writes:

"It's only because a majoriy of people at the state house are equally
short-sighted as you that the state is currently able to plunder the
economic wealth that Minneapolis generates and then spend it on the
ingratious folks like you out in the exurbs and adjacent country side."

Reality check from Vicky:

Everyone in Minnesota doesn't share your perception of Minneapolis.
Many in fact hold some or all of these views:

Corrupt City Hall (former council members sent to prison, 2 so far)

Compulsive spending (requiring massive State subsidies)

Monstrous debt load

Property taxes spiraling out of control (thus reducing income taxes paid to
the State)

Chaotic, spendthrift Park Board

Chaotic, spendthrift School Board

Chaotic, spendthrift Transit System

Chaotic Police Department

Escalating crime

Anti-business, anti-job climate (excepting government jobs)

I have been told that Minneapolis, for some time, has been the "laughing
stock" of the Legislature. This message doesn't make me proud to be a
Minneapolis investor and taxpayer.

Perhaps someone on the List will list the great accomplishments of
Minneapolis government over the past decade or so - other than making a few
real estate developers and corporations very rich.
