Who are Pawlenty and Bell trying to kid? They're going to roll $100k/week back to those transit riders that the strike is greatly affecting??? If you divided that up amongst the 75,000 riders, it works out to what - $1.33/week?

If you're not going to roll your sleeves-up and seriously get to work solving the problem at hand, why not just keep the money and put it towards the state budget deficit instead of insulting everyone with a ridiculous pacifier?

I headed into this strike thinking that the workers were more than likely out-of-line in their demands. I'm slow-but-sure coming around to thinking that they don't have much choice in the stance they've taken.

This ridiculous stop-gap measure does NOTHING to assist those that are most in need of the service - those inner-city folk w/o a car.

Palwenty (and Bell) would go a long way toward gaining credibility of most Minneapolis residents if they would at least put forth an earnest effort.
