As I ponder about the "striking" bus company employees, I have to say that I'm not sure what we have is a strike, even though ATU1005 calls it that. At previous strikes, no union member was asked to clean out his or her locker. Nor had management refused to bargain in good faith.
This strike was engineered as a lockout. I do not expect management to change it's stance, as I now think that management meant to get rid of all players qua union members and invite them back across the picket line later on without their union.
