Transit Police are actually more busy now then they are when the busses are running because they've been assigned additional duty. And, yes, that made me go HUH? too.

As to what they've been doing they're still watching bus stops (I don't know why - maybe the bus stops are going to do something). In addition they're essentially working security at Met Transit facilities and watching picket lines.
