Who? I thought Governor Ventura was convicted of never doing anything right. That was also the governor who learned how to behave and dress in foreign cultures so he didn't kibbosh the trade mission he was on if anyone took a picture. No Spam shirts in that fella's luggage! It's just amazing to me how the blue-collar kid from South Minneapolis, who never got a break he didn't make himself managed to pull off as much as he did while in office, while the sophisticate doesn't seem to know his job is to get the strike settled. Arnie Carlson did better, and I'm no fan of Arnie's, either. In the mean time, two people have reported to me that members of their families have lost their downtown Minneapolis jobs because no bus traffic is pretty well closing down some of the stores and services. I understand you can bowl in the stacks of the main library, also. Can we inspire a story in the STrib on impacts of the strike to businesses, libraries and other places down (and up-) town? Maybe if we let the aloof Mr. Pawlenty know that BUSINESSES ARE BEING HURT BY THIS STRIKE, he'll take a few moments from planning his stadiums to look into the matter? (How about it Steve?)
