This free, family-friendly entertainment, plus special discounts, and food, last from 11am-8pm all weekend on April 2-4th. North Country Co-op is located at 1929 S 5th Street, near the intersection of Cedar and Riverside on the West Bank of Minneapolis." [Sam Adams writes:] I want to thank Mark Snyder for posting this. I am that Sam Adams, and I'll be at North Country Co-op this Saturday between 1 and 3 PM. I also wanted to mention that North Country Co-op is collecting foodshelf donations for the ATU Local 1005 workers on strike. So if you missed the incredible U of M food drive, or even if you didn't, you can donate money or canned goods at North Country. It is so gratifying to see this wonderful local business going into a period of financial stability, growth and enhanced service. North Country has never taken the easy road. They are committed to doing business ethically. For them, that includes offering their paid staff a living wage and health benefits, supporting worker-led boycotts and providing a wide range of excellent fair trade and organic foods. Let's celebrate those people and businesses that are helping create the kind of city we want to live in. I have no kids to support, so I haven't had to use the foodshelf, but I thank everyone who has so generously helped my co-workers.) REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
