[VH]  Finally, an idea that I can work with.

I agree with Mr. Shove:  Rather than dupe taxpayers at the County, State,
and Federal level into funding the City's overindulgences, let local
taxpayers pay for their own cake, plus interest.

Yes, let Minneapolis pay its own bills.  Believe it or not, the "you want
it, you pay for it" principle USED TO BE the rock hard foundation of our
form of government.

It will be interesting to watch the Minneapolis budget explode, now that
interest rates are on the rise.  And just wait until the operating costs
show up for the $100 million glass palace library.

Seceding is a very good idea, but I hope it doesn't happen too quickly:
Some of us need a little time to escape.  I want to be safely relocated in
my mountain hideaway when the first bills arrive from the newly formed
taxing authority.
