The local lawyer that represented the Minneapolis Branch NAACP in the Heritage Park lawsuit has just been disbarred by the Minnesota State Supreme Court for the mishandling of many client cases including that of the NAACP. The NAACP was to have over site over the Heritage Park project to ensure that displaced residents would be allowed to return to the area once the homes/apartments were complete. They were also responsible for ensuring that the environment of the Heritage Park area was safe for residents. Earlier this year the branch backed out of the lawsuit due to internal dissention among branch members.
