Marya Morstad, who hosts the weekly KFAI program "Art and Spirit Matters"
was awarded the prestigious "Golden Reel" by the National Federation of
Community Broadcasters in the category of "Best Local Documentary".

The documentary in question, "Art and Spirit Matters" was a series of
interviews with 14 local artists who use their art as an expression of
their faith.  Inteverview topics ranged from Gospel to Goddess worship,
Islamic installation art to Jewish Sephardic Music, criticism of relgious
fundamentalism to the preservation of the Tibetan performing arts. Artists
interviewed included Kari Tauring, Dean J Seal, Maryam Yosefzadeh, Dan
Rein, and many more.
