Minnesota Public Radio is citing a report this morning which says that smoking in New York City has dropped dramatically during the past two years. There are 100,000 fewer smokers in New York City than two years ago. The report citied a variety of factors including cigarette taxes and education. I did not hear smoking restrictions. I think, but I am not sure, that the study period was prior to recent ban. I am going to try and pull the study from the New York City Department of Health website.
