I was beginning to feel so alone in connecting our smoking and fossil fuel addictions, as well as introducing the notion of violence into the discussion.
Then I read an article from a very old smoker who discusses both addictions in the same breath as the extreme denial and unrestrained violence we addicts will enter into in order to keep access to our drugs of choice open. If you have time to actually read and reflect, old Kurt's rant -- "Cold Turkey" may be worthwhile. No, it does not prove whether or not smoking ban is good policy, but perhaps does something more important: encourages us to think about what we have become, and what we are about to become. http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0512-13.htm ...enjoy the read, if you dare.... -- Gary Hoover Kingfield REMINDERS: 1.
