I have been looking over footage of my inteview with Mayor Rybak for "Illegal
to Be Homeless" a little over a year ago.
I just love film...it is a great record of events and statements.
Anyway, Mayor Rybak said he would commit to talking to the Mpls Police
about the treatment of persons who are homeless by the police.
He made that statement in January of 2003.
I have never heard the results of these conversations with the police or
if he ever did follow through on that commitment.
Since a person who was homeless was arrested for dancing in the street in
March of this year, I am guessing that conversation never did happen.
