For the past 27 years I have been a part of the May Day Parade and Festival.
For most of those years I have had the great pleasure of bringing the Sun
across Powderhorn Lake which brings us spring and The tree of life. It was an
amazing day with crickets and drums and musicians laying on their backs playing in
the middle of the street at Bloomington and Lake... and puppets and kids and
zany floats.

Who would be so foolish to parade these giant paper mache dreams through the
heart of the city?
Into the wondrous Possible we dance.
Thank you Heart of the Beast.

When the truth was lost, the sky was dark and foreboding, but we learn and
remember and again call for the sun...The clouds part for the sun to shine and
bring the sun ships across the lake.
Impeccable timing for this strange and marvelous day.
Thanks to all who built, danced, watched and sung... we see the green
returning.

Thank you to the blue river, the turtle, the crickets, leaping frogs.... and
the many fools.

Thanks,
Scott Vreeland Seward
