>From where I sit in SW Minneapolis, I see trouble on the horizon. I'd like
to thank our elected state leaders for a worthless session-- probably the
MOST worthless session I've ever seen. A complete waste of time and
taxpayer dollars, with no resolution of the budget shortfall or the bonding
bill-- and this in an even-year session that is supposed to be focused on
bonding.

It's time for a unicameral legislature in Minnesota with strong third-party
representation to break up the regular two-party bickering we've experienced
in recent years. Add Instant Runoff Voting and let voters directly decide
in a timely fashion, who will lead rather than the old two-party caucuses
and continual attempts via two-party restrictions aimed at controlling
primaries, etc., and just maybe we'll see some positive, efficient
leadership at the state capital. And two-party regulars wonder why the
voting public has become so disillusioned with politics as usual! Enough of
this crap!

and disillusionment with politics as usual seems rampant.
