There were 26 Green Party *members* who voted at the 5th district endorsing
convention. There were no "delegates." All Green Party members may attend, and
anyone who has attended at least one membership meeting during the last year
may vote, including people who attended the Democratic Party precinct caucuses
and went to the DFL endorsing convention as delegates.

Not only did many Greens attend the DFL precinct caucuses, at least one
attended both the DFL and Green Party caucuses. One of the delegates who I saw at
the DFL city endorsing convention also attended a Green Party caucus. It
appears that the Green Party caucus meeting that I attended adjourned early enough
for someone to be a late-comer at a DFL precinct caucus meeting and participate
in the delegate selection process.

A 2/3 supermajority was needed for endorsement at the Green Party endorsing
meeting. 18 votes were needed for endorsement. 14 voted only for Kari Tauring,
One voted only for Doug Mann, 3 voted for both candidates, and 8 voted NOTA.

In the Green Party screening questionnaire Kari Tauring noted that she had
initially approached school board members for their support. However, Judy
Farmer recruited Peggy Flanagan and Lydia Lee to seek the DFL endorsement. Green
Party leaders, including Annie Young and Eric Makela urged members to vote for
Kari Tauring and not for Doug Mann
