Someone who was exploring what a precinct caucus actually was since it was being held two blocks from my house. I don't remember there being a "declaration" involved - is that what's on those sign-in sheets? If so, I'm sure I'm not the only one who ever unintentionally "declared" themselves a DFLer. There really should be someone staffing the sign-in table to explain that stuff. I guess now I know why I keep getting all those donation solicitations... As for being "elected" a delegate, that was a complete joke. If I recall correctly, there was about ten people there and the group spent maybe five minutes deciding that everyone present would be a delegate because there was supposed to be some bigger meeting happening later in the day or something. I was so mystified by the whole thing that after that meeting, I walked home and I've never attended any DFL event since. By the way, Tim - since you have such great access to DFL records, maybe you can do a database update for me: my mother, Mary L Snyder of Windom Park passed away in December 1997 - please stop sending your junk mail to her.
