Someone who was exploring what a precinct caucus actually was since it was
being held two blocks from my house.

I don't remember there being a "declaration" involved - is that what's on
those sign-in sheets? If so, I'm sure I'm not the only one who ever
unintentionally "declared" themselves a DFLer. There really should be
someone staffing the sign-in table to explain that stuff. I guess now I know
why I keep getting all those donation solicitations...

As for being "elected" a delegate, that was a complete joke. If I recall
correctly, there was about ten people there and the group spent maybe five
minutes deciding that everyone present would be a delegate because there was
supposed to be some bigger meeting happening later in the day or something.

I was so mystified by the whole thing that after that meeting, I walked home
and I've never attended any DFL event since.

By the way, Tim - since you have such great access to DFL records, maybe you
can do a database update for me: my mother, Mary L Snyder of Windom Park
passed away in December 1997 - please stop sending your junk mail to her.
