MY RESPONSE:
The result of the endorsement process was to endorse two people of color. The field was very mixed racially, the first time I've seen it so well diversified by gender and race.

We have finally learned that it isn't all Black and White, but Asian and Native American and Somali as well.

How does this not work within the Affirmative Action requirements of the DFL? Two people of color were endorsed. Just because an African American didn't get endorsed this time is no different from decades of not having an Asian-American, Native American, or any other minority group represented on the board. And, it may be the first time an Anglo American (White) was not endorsed.
