Nice try Dyna, but not true.....

"Some blame the police, but the problem is we're still short a couple
hundred of 'em. Some blame the judges, but one suspects the judges are
looking to the jails... which are full. Except for Hennepin County's,
where republican budget cuts have left half a brand new facility
unstaffed and unused."

Vicky here:

The City's budget for 2004 is the highest in history - $1.24 billion.

The City has cut 800 jobs.

The City has a AAA bond rating (so did Enron.)

Taxable market values of Minneapolis real estate are at all time highs: $27
Billion.

On paper, things have NEVER BEEN BETTER in Minneapolis. Why don't you ask
the downtown DFL guard what they're doing with all of the money? While
you're at it, ask your Council Member about property tax collections for the
first half of 2004 - the payments that were due May 15th -- it would be nice
to know if we're coming up short again.

"Sir Michael Marnot reports the results of his study, which merely confirms
our suspicions about the anti-smoking hysteria. A 60-year-old rich smoker
has less chance of dropping dead than a 60-year-old poor non-smoker, he
concludes. Watch out, dear reader, poverty kills." ....The Daily Reckoning
