Problem: Individuals engaging in criminal activity. Assertion: There is no reasonable expectation of privacy on a public street.
Solution: Broadcast their activities over a wireless signal that can be received by anyone within the range of adequate signal strength with a laptop computer equipped with compatible wireless card. When I say anyone, I mean anyone, from neighborhood residents to the police, or anyone who happens to be driving by. The police could get a screen shot or two. An omnidirectional gain antenna can be installed for increased range. For greater effect, install a wireless client to receive the signal, then route it through your local area network, then to the internet. You could link it to a web page - and the whole world can see what criminal activities said individuals are engaging in. Install more cameras on different channels, then link each of them on a web site. Costs about $250 for the D-Link, there are others available. http://dlink.com/products/?pid=41 Neal Krasnoff Loring Park REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
