211.8 teacher positions cut from 2003-2004 to 2004-2005 (program 200, funds 
01 & 96)

$30,880,606 of $34,782,581 of cuts in operating budget from 2003-2004 to 
2004-2005 came from teacher salaries and benefits (program 200, funds 01 & 96).

Unreserved (undesignated) [slush] fund within operating budget increased by 
almost $2 million, from $2,408,309 to $4,396,529 
[No money to reverse cuts in preschool programs?]

Superintendent pay, not including fringe benefits: 
$160,000 (2003-2004) to $200,000 (2004-2005)

Total budget for positions for supt office (020), area supt office (040) and 
employee relations (164):
