There would be no point for having a speical session. The Democrat leadership in the Senate has made it quite clean that they, as Senator Johnson has said, "don't need anything". Sen. Ann Rest, DFL-New Hope, "This ain't the same Senate because we don't need anything."
The DFL voters, in Minneapolis and St. Paul specifically, should remember those words when local aid cuts of as much as $12 million to Minneapolis and $3 million to St. Paul become effective.
Senators Johnson and Rest have gotten exactly what they wanted, nothing. I hope they are happy.
