If you're heading to Lake Calhoun's Thomas Beach on Sunday for the various Aquatennial events, don't forget to bring your old fishing sinkers and jigs to the lead tackle exchange taking place from 11am-3pm.
You can trade in your old tackle for samples of new non-toxic fishing tackle and help protect our state's waterfowl from lead poisoning. Or you can just stop by and learn what's available for your fishing needs and take a free sample with you. You can find the location of the lead tackle exchange at: http://www.aquatennial.org/maps/beachbash.pdf More info on lead fishing tackle, why it's a problem and what we can do about it: http://www.moea.state.mn.us/reduce/sinkers.cfm#exchange Mark Snyder Windom Park REMINDERS: 1.
